About Playa de Oleiros
Oleiros is a secluded cove on the western Asturian coast in the municipality of Cudillero, lying below cliffs between the villages of Lamuño and Salamir. It is around 640 m long and backed by pine woodland, and the beach is made of gravel and rounded stones rather than sand. The Atlantic swell here is usually strong and there are no services: no lifeguard, toilets, showers or bar. Because reaching it takes a walk through the woods and down steps, the cove stays relatively quiet even in August. It is often described as Cudillero's nudist beach; the Spanish Naturist Federation lists it as a beach of nudist tradition, and the national tourism portal notes that nudism is practised here. In practice nude and clothed visitors share the cove. The setting is green and rugged, with cliffs at either end, and the pebbles make sturdy footwear and a thick mat useful.
Getting there
From the N-632 near Salamir, a dirt track runs through pine woods towards the clifftop; park where it ends. From there a path of about 20 minutes through the trees leads to a set of steps, some cut into the rock, which descend to the beach (built in 2011 by the coastal authority). Sources disagree on difficulty, but expect a steep descent and a tiring climb back. There is no public transport to the cove and no step-free access.
What visitors say
Guides describe Oleiros as a peaceful, natural cove that rewards the walk with few people. The stones, the steep path and steps, and strong waves are the usual caveats, and several sources suggest shoes suited to rocks. Accounts of how hard the access is vary, from easy to difficult.

Legal context
Public nudity is not prohibited on Spanish beaches. Oleiros is a customary nudist beach recognised by the Spanish Naturist Federation, not a municipally designated one, and it is shared with clothed bathers. No local restrictions or enforcement were found (2026).
Naturism at Playa de Oleiros sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
