About Playa de los Enebrales
Los Enebrales is a long natural beach on the Costa de la Luz in Punta Umbría, Huelva, backed by the protected juniper and pine woodland that gives it its name. It runs for about 2.3 km of golden sand with moderate waves and is one of the quietest beaches in the municipality in summer. Wooden boardwalks cross the dunes from the coast road, so the sand stays undeveloped. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists it as a beach of nudist tradition; one directory disagrees and marks it non-nudist, so expect clothed bathers too and look for space away from the boardwalk entrances. The beach has lifeguards in season, and directories list toilets, foot-washes and showers.
Getting there
Use one of the boardwalks that cross the dunes from the coast road; another boardwalk runs through the dunes from the Barceló hotel area. The boardwalks make the dune crossing easy, though the final stretch is soft sand.
