About Playa de Los Charcos
Los Charcos is a small beach on the wild north coast of Fuerteventura in La Oliva, between El Cotillo and Majanicho, on a stretch of coast where a low reef shelters lagoon-like pools ('charcos'). FEN gives it as about 100 m long and 70 m deep, made of gravel and white sand, with calm water but frequent wind. The setting is open, with dunes behind the beach and no buildings. Directories list Los Charcos as nudist, and it is little used. There are no services at all.
Getting there
Los Charcos is reached by dirt tracks: about 3.5 km from El Cotillo along the coast track toward Majanicho, or from the FV-10 road. The tracks are rough and dusty; a high-clearance vehicle helps. Park at the edge of the track and walk onto the beach. There is no public transport and no adapted access. Bring water, shade and a windbreak.
Legal context
Spain has no national law against nudity in public. Los Charcos is listed by the Spanish Naturist Federation as a nudist-tradition beach; we found no local ordinance.
Naturism at Playa de Los Charcos sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
