About Playa de Lopesa
Lopesa is a tiny cove, only about 20 m wide, in Narón near Ferrol (A Coruña), close to Campelo beach. It disappears completely at high tide. The shore is rocks and boulders with a little sand on some days, and a great rock crag stands over it. Like many hard-to-reach coves on this coast, it is considered a nude spot. It is very rarely visited, and FEN does not recommend it for a full day out. Waves and wind are often strong, and there are no facilities.
Getting there
The cove is reached from the coast road near Campelo, but access is poor: the old concrete steps down have collapsed, so the descent is a scramble. Go only at low tide and in calm conditions, with sturdy footwear.
Legal context
Spanish law does not prohibit public nudity, and FEN notes that nudism is legal on any Spanish beach; this beach is on FEN's list of beaches with a traditional nude use. No local restriction is known (2026).
Naturism at Playa de Lopesa sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.

Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
