About Playa De Les Llomes De Reixes
Les Llomes de Reixes, also called Cala del Cuartel, is a small pebble cove in El Campello, north of Alicante, beneath a cliff topped by the ruins of the 16th-century Reixes watchtower, part of the old coastal defence system. It forms the northern end of Barranc d'Aigües beach, and the adjoining section is the municipal dog beach. The cove is about 100 m of rounded stones and gravel, with moderate waves and clear water over rocky seabed; there is a snorkelling route along it. El Campello's municipal website classifies it as a naturist or nudist-tradition beach, and the regional tourism board lists it as naturist. Use is low and there are no services.
Getting there
The nearest TRAM stop is Cala Piteres on the Alicante–Benidorm line. From there, walk down to the coast; the access points are signposted, but the last section is rated difficult on foot. Street parking is available in the residential area above. The pebbles and path make it unsuitable for wheelchairs.
