About Playa de Las Salinas

Las Salinas is a small, undeveloped stretch of rocky coast in Arucas, on the north coast of Gran Canaria, below the remains of old salt pans that give it its name. FEN gives it as about 210 m of rock, with strong waves and few visitors. Spain.info describes it as a nudist beach in a quiet, unspoilt setting. The open sea is often rough, but natural rock pools along the shore allow safer bathing on most days. There are no services.

Getting there

Leave the old C-810 coast road at the km 9 turnoff and walk about 200 m over uneven ground to the shore. Interurban buses on the GC-2 corridor (lines 103, 105, 116 and 117) stop in the area. Wear sturdy shoes. There is no adapted access.

Legal context

Spain has no national law against nudity in public. Las Salinas is described as a nudist beach by Spain.info and FEN; we found no local ordinance.

Naturism at Playa de Las Salinas sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
