About Playa de las Carpinteras
Las Carpinteras is a small cove on the south coast of Gran Canaria in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, beside the old GC-500 coast road between El Pajar and Pasito Blanco, below Montaña Arena. FEN gives it as about 180 m of rounded stones and gravel, with moderate waves. It is one of the island's established nude beaches and, unlike the big resort beaches a few kilometres east, has no tourist services around it, though FEN rates use as high. Bring everything you need for the day; there is no lifeguard.
Getting there
From the GC-1 motorway, take exit 50 (Pasito Blanco/Meloneras) and follow the old GC-500 toward El Pajar until you see the sign for Las Carpinteras. Do not follow signs for Montaña Arena, which lead up the hill. Cars can get fairly close, then it is a walk of about 300 m (roughly 10 minutes) down a path to the cove. Buses run along the coast between Las Palmas and the south. There is no adapted access.
