About Playa De L'Ahuir
L'Ahuir is the long, undeveloped beach north of Gandia's main seafront in Valencia province, running towards Xeraco. Unlike the built-up Platja de Gandia, it is backed by dunes and marshland that are protected as a natural area, and wooden boardwalks cross the dunes so that the vegetation can recover. The Spanish Naturist Federation gives it as about 1.75 km long and 70 m wide, with golden sand, calm but sometimes windy water and light use, and notes that its quiet, isolated character has made it a favourite with nudists. It holds a Blue Flag and has lifeguards and showers in season, which makes it one of the better-equipped traditional nude beaches on this coast. Expect a mix of nude and clothed visitors along its length.
Getting there
L'Ahuir is reached from the coast road north of Gandia beach towards Xeraco, with parking areas behind the dunes; boardwalks lead across the dunes to the sand. Summer buses run along the Gandia coast. The boardwalks make access easier than on most dune beaches.
Amenities
Legal context
Spanish law does not make simple nudity an offence (public-scandal offences were removed in 1988), so nude bathing is not illegal on Spanish beaches unless a municipal bylaw restricts it. No Gandia bylaw against nudity at L'Ahuir was found; nude use is by tradition and recorded by FEN (2026).
Naturism at Playa De L'Ahuir sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
