About Playa de la Solsida
La Solsida is a long, narrow strip of pebbles and rock in Altea on the Costa Blanca, just past the Mar y Montaña marina in the La Galera del Mar area towards the Mascarat headland. It is the best-known nude beach in Altea and is used mostly by naturists. FEN gives it as about 1.4 km long but only around 10 m wide, with occupancy generally low. The beach is sheltered from northerly winds, and on calm days the water is clear, with rocky seabed where you can spot cuttlefish and starfish. Water shoes are strongly recommended on the stones. Heaps of posidonia seagrass sometimes wash up and can smell. There are no lifeguards, bars or other services.
Getting there
La Solsida is reached on foot only, by walkways and flights of steps down from the Mar y Montaña marina area at the north end of Altea, off the N-332. Parking is in the streets and around the marina and is limited in summer. The steps and stony beach make it unsuitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Bring water and shade.

Legal context
Spain has no national law against nudity in public. La Solsida is used nude by long custom and is listed by the Spanish Naturist Federation; we found no specific municipal ordinance.
Naturism at Playa de la Solsida sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
