About Playa de Guadalmar
Guadalmar is the westernmost beach of Málaga city, in the residential district of the same name next to the mouth of the Guadalhorce river and its protected wetland. The beach is about 1.85 km of dark sand with moderate waves. Most of it is an ordinary semi-urban beach with lifeguards and showers, but part of it is set aside for nude bathing; guides say it is the only beach in the city of Málaga where nudism is formally accepted. The naturist stretch is toward the river mouth end, next to the Guadalhorce natural area. Guadalmar is also a well-known LGBT meeting point. It is not a secluded beach: aircraft approaching Málaga airport fly low overhead, and the coastal footpath runs along the back of the sand.
Getting there
Guadalmar is about 10 km south-west of central Málaga, next to the airport. Drive to the Guadalmar district and park in the surrounding streets. City buses serve Guadalmar from central Málaga. You can also walk or cycle along the coastal path from the Guadalhorce natural area or from the city's western beaches. The walk onto the sand is short and flat; boardwalks give access to the main beach.
What visitors say
Visitors describe Guadalmar as a convenient city nude beach rather than a scenic escape. They point out the low-flying planes from the nearby airport and foot traffic on the coastal path. The nude section is clearly established and mixed, with a strong gay presence. Some reviewers say other nude beaches on the coast suit people looking for peace and quiet better.

Legal context
Spain has no national law against nudity in public. Several guides describe Guadalmar as the only beach in Málaga city with an authorised naturist zone; we could not open the municipal document behind that, so it is recorded here as customary. The nude section is separate from the clothed part of the beach.
Naturism at Playa de Guadalmar sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
