About Playa de Cirro
Cirro is on the east shore of the Betanzos estuary in Sada (A Coruña), on the coast road between Mera and Sada. It is really two small, almost identical coves divided by a band of rocks, about 280 m in total. The sand is fine and pale, with rock outcrops between and around the coves. Nudity is concentrated in the second cove, the one you reach by crossing the rocks; the first cove is mostly clothed and used by families. Both coves nearly disappear at high tide, so check the tide table before you go. There is a campsite close by, and FEN reports a lifeguard and showers in summer. FEN rates use as high, and the beach fills up on warm weekends with locals from A Coruña.
Getting there
Cirro is signposted from the Mera–Sada coast road. There is a small, unattended car park with fewer than 50 spaces, which fills on summer weekends. The nearest interurban bus stop is about 2 km away. The path to the first cove is adapted for people with reduced mobility; to reach the nude cove you have to cross the rocks between the two, which needs some care and is impossible at high tide.
Amenities
Legal context
Spain has no national law against nudity in public. Cirro's nudist use is customary and confined to the second cove; FEN lists it as a nudist-tradition beach, and general tourism listings describe the first cove as a non-nudist family beach.
Naturism at Playa de Cirro sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
