About Playa de Camposoto
Camposoto is a long, natural sand beach on the Atlantic coast of San Fernando, Cádiz, within the Bahía de Cádiz natural park. It runs for roughly 3 km of open, undeveloped shore backed by dunes, from the Camposoto access area towards Punta del Boquerón, the sandy point that faces the Sancti Petri channel and castle. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists Camposoto as a nude beach but places nude use only from the point marked on its map onwards, noting that the land further up the coast is a military zone. That nude stretch is about 2.7 km long and 60 m wide, with golden sand, low occupancy and moderate to strong surf. FEN reports no lifeguard or showers along it. Expect wind, an exposed setting with no shade, and plenty of space even in summer; the further you walk from the main access, the quieter it gets.
Getting there
Drive from San Fernando to the Camposoto access area at the beach, where there is parking near the main entrance. From there, walk south along the sand to reach the nude stretch FEN marks; allow 15 to 30 minutes depending on how far you go. Respect the signed military land and do not enter it. The walk is flat but on soft sand, and there are no facilities on the nude stretch.
