About Playa Baño de las Mujeres
Baño de las Mujeres is a small cove on the remote coast of Lorca municipality in the Region of Murcia, between Águilas and Mazarrón. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists it as a nudist-tradition beach: about 40 metres long and 30 metres deep, of gravel and golden sand, with calm water and medium occupancy. The surroundings are dry, undeveloped hills with no buildings nearby. Services are minimal: the council cleans it regularly and there are a couple of bins, but no lifeguard, showers or bar. Nearby coves on the same coast are also used for nude bathing, notably Cala Siscal next door, which has become popular with nude bathers because of its distance from buildings; tiny Cala de San Pedro lies between the two. Lorca's officially recognised nude beach is further along at La Junquera. Note that one general directory lists Baño de las Mujeres as non-nudist, so expect mixed use.
Getting there
The cove is reached by an unsurfaced track from the RM-D21 road; local guides describe the track as manageable in an ordinary car except after heavy rain. Park at the end of the track and walk a short distance to the sand. There is no public transport. Not wheelchair accessible.
