About Platja Roca Plana
Cala de la Roca Plana, also called Cala Becs or Calabecs, is a small, secluded nude cove on the Tarragona coast between Altafulla and the city, within the Tamarit–Punta de la Móra area of natural interest. It is about 200 metres long and 20 metres wide, with golden sand and calm water, and is surrounded by the pine woodland of the Bosc de la Marquesa. Access is only on foot, which keeps it quiet: the Spanish Naturist Federation reports low occupancy. It lies on the coastal path to the better-known Waikiki cove (Cala Fonda), another nude beach about 15 minutes further on, so many visitors combine the two. There are no facilities, bars or lifeguards, so bring food, water and shade. The views back along the coast take in the Torre de la Móra watchtower.
Getting there
Leave the AP-7 at Torredembarra and take the N-340 towards Tarragona. After Altafulla, follow signs for the Torre de la Móra campsite, pass the campsite on your left and continue along the track marked as private property. From there it is about 15 minutes on foot through pine woods to Roca Plana; Waikiki is another 15 minutes on. You can also walk east along the coast from Tarragona's Platja Llarga, about 4 km. Not accessible for wheelchairs.
Legal context
FEN lists Roca Plana as a nudist beach. Local reporting notes that Tarragona's rules penalise nudity on beaches not set aside for it, while coves with a recognised nudist tradition such as Roca Plana and Waikiki are tolerated (2026).
Naturism at Platja Roca Plana sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.

Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
