About Platja Llarga
Platja Llarga, also called Platja del Prat de Vilanova or Platja Llarga d'Ibersol, is the southernmost beach of Vilanova i la Geltrú on the Garraf coast, beginning where the Ibersol estate ends and running towards the Cubelles boundary. It is about 700 metres long and 40 to 45 metres wide, a gently curving bay of golden sand divided by small stone breakwaters, with calm water that can be windy. Unlike the town beaches, much of it is undeveloped: around 60 per cent is a protected natural area, and the stretch is being restored to a more natural state. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists it as a nudist-tradition beach with medium occupancy, and it appears on Catalan nude beach lists for the Garraf area; general directories do not mark a designated nude zone, so nude and clothed bathers mix, with nudity more common on the undeveloped section away from Ibersol. FEN reports no lifeguards or showers on the nude stretch, while other directories mention lifeguards, toilets and showers near the Ibersol end.
Getting there
From Vilanova i la Geltrú, head south-west along the coast to the Ibersol area; the beach starts where the housing ends. There is street parking around Ibersol. Vilanova has a Rodalies station on the Barcelona–Sant Vicenç line, from which the beach is a longer walk along the seafront or a short drive. The sand is flat and easy to reach from the paths behind it.

Legal context
Nudity is not prohibited on Spanish beaches. FEN lists Platja Llarga as a nudist-tradition beach, but no municipal nude zone is designated and some directories list it as non-nudist (2026).
Naturism at Platja Llarga sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.

Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
