About Pedrón Beach
Pedrón is a tiny, isolated cove on the north side of Cabo Udra, the headland that separates the rías of Aldán and Pontevedra in the municipality of Bueu. The beach is only about 50 m long and a few metres deep, a pocket of white sand mixed with rounded stones, set inside a Natura 2000 protected coastal area with a pine wood behind it. There are no buildings or services of any kind. Because it can only be reached on foot along the coast, it is usually almost empty, getting a few more visitors on summer weekends. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists it among Galicia's beaches of nudist tradition, and since the whole cove is so small, nude use applies to the entire beach rather than a marked section. Swimming conditions are a moderate swell and wind; there is no lifeguard. Cabo Udra's other coves, such as Ancoradoiro, Tulla and Sartaxens, are nearby along the same coastline.
Getting there
The nearest road is the PO-315 coast road between Bueu and Aldán; from there you continue on foot along the coastal path around Cabo Udra. Guides describe the path as somewhat complicated and not suitable for everyone, and the naturist federation notes that a private estate behind the beach makes the approach harder, so check the route on a map before going. There is no dedicated parking. The nearest bus stations are Cangas (about 12 km) and Pontevedra (about 27 km). Not wheelchair accessible.
Legal context
Spain has no national law against public nudity, and nude bathing is lawful on any beach unless a municipal bylaw restricts it. No Bueu bylaw affecting Pedrón was found; the cove is listed by the Spanish Naturist Federation as a beach of nudist tradition and lies in a Natura 2000 area where general conservation rules apply.
Naturism at Pedrón Beach sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
