About Parsteiner See
The Parsteiner See is a clear lake of about 1,000 ha in the Schorfheide-Chorin biosphere reserve in Brandenburg, north-east of Berlin between Chorin, Brodowin and Angermünde. Swimming is only allowed at designated bathing places, and the main ones, with campsites and shallow child-friendly entries, are at the Pehlitzwerder peninsula in the south-west and at Parstein in the south-east. The nude option is in the north: the official Berlin tourism portal names a small FKK bathing place near the village of Herzsprung, and the Brandenburg tourism board lists a bathing place with a sunbathing lawn at the lake's northern tip (Am Parsteinsee, Herzsprung). Close by, the Sport- und FKK-Verein Herzsprung runs a naturist campsite with its own beach where nudity is compulsory and a large naturist lawn that day visitors may use; its kiosk opens in good weather. The water is rated excellent in the state's bathing-water monitoring at Parstein. Expect a quiet, rural setting with a grassy shore rather than a sandy resort beach; details such as the exact extent of the public FKK section are not well documented.
Getting there
The northern tip of the lake is at Am Parsteinsee, 16278 Angermünde OT Herzsprung. By car, the lake is reached via the A11 (exit Chorin) and local roads. By rail, regional trains run to Chorin, leaving roughly 10 km to the lake by bike or taxi. Parking at the small public bathing place is not documented. Day visitors can also use the large naturist lawn of the nearby FKK club, whose own beach requires nudity.
Legal context
Bathing in the Parsteiner See is only permitted at designated bathing places; Berlin's official tourism portal lists a small FKK bathing place near Herzsprung (updated 2023). On the neighbouring club grounds nudity is compulsory. No conflicts or enforcement issues were found.
Naturism at Parsteiner See sits under Germany's rules for officially designated nude beaches — explicit protection inside the marked area.
