About Paradise Beach (aka Bareass Beach)
Paradise Beach is a stretch of riverbank on the South Saskatchewan River off Valley Road, roughly 20 km south-west of Saskatoon near Vanscoy. Locals long ago nicknamed it Bareass Beach because of the number of people who sunbathe nude here. The Federation of Canadian Naturists lists it among Canada's unofficial nude beaches and describes it as well recognised as a nude venue. The clothing-optional area is to the left of the parking lot as you face the river; guides add that nude use becomes more accepted the further you go around the bend, away from the clothed users near the lot. On a warm day the FCN says 40 to 50 nude visitors can be spread along this stretch of river. There are no facilities at all: no toilets, drinking water, food or built shade, so bring everything you need. River currents can be strong, so take care when swimming. There is no naturist club or association looking after the beach, and broken glass is reported as a recurring hazard.
Getting there
Drive south-west out of Saskatoon on Valley Road for about 20 km, following the South Saskatchewan River, to the beach parking area. From the lot, walk to the river and turn left to reach the clothing-optional section; the walk is short but over uneven riverbank. Parking is informal. There is no public transport, and the riverbank is not wheelchair accessible.
What visitors say
Visitors describe a casual local spot where nude sunbathers share the riverbank with clothed groups, with the nude crowd thickening away from the parking lot. Busy summer weekends can get rowdy, and broken glass and litter are the most common complaints, so footwear is advised. Weekdays are quieter. People stress that there are no services, so water, shade and food must be brought in.

Legal context
Nudity here is tolerated rather than authorised: there is no designation or bylaw making the beach clothing-optional, and public nudity remains an offence under the Criminal Code if prosecuted. The FCN notes that local police patrol the beach regularly to keep order, so behave discreetly and keep to the established nude area.
Naturism at Paradise Beach (aka Bareass Beach) sits under Canada's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
