About Nudist beach Zevenhuizerplas
The Zevenhuizerplas nude beach is in the Rottemeren recreation area, just north of Rotterdam in the municipality of Zuidplas. The area is managed by Staatsbosbeheer. The Zevenhuizerplas is a sand-extraction lake that has recently been roughly doubled in size. The naturist beach is on the north side of the old lake, at the western end of the recreation beaches. Since the 2019 season it has been separated from the textile beach by a hedge-topped earth bank, and it is marked with signs. It is a lawn with a small strip of sand, surrounded by trees and bushes, which make it sheltered and fairly private. The swimming area is marked with a buoy line at 1.5 m depth over a sloping bottom. Outside it the lake deepens quickly, and the water can suddenly turn cold. There is a mobile toilet and bins, but no other facilities on the naturist section. Restaurant De Strandgaper is by the car park on the textile beach, about 500 m away (it was being renovated at the time of a recent report), and there is a kiosk. The beach is small, so it fills up on hot days. Dogs are not allowed.
Getting there
Free car parking is a few hundred metres from the beach (under 1 km), and there is bicycle parking at the beach. The nearest metro station is Rotterdam Ambachtsland, about 3 km on foot. Entry is free. The site is listed as accessible for people with reduced mobility. Bring your own food and drink.
