About Nudist beach Rockanje
The Rockanje nude beach is on the North Sea coast of Voorne, south-west of Rotterdam, in the municipality now called Voorne aan Zee (formerly Westvoorne). It lies north-west of Rockanje village, behind the dunes of the Voornes Duin nature reserve. The official nude section runs about 800 m between beach poles 10.6 and 11.4, near the Groene Punt viewpoint, and is marked with signs. In practice some people already go nude from around pole 11.8. The boundaries have shifted over the years, and regulars report small changes from season to season. The beach is sand with a gently sloping seabed. Sandbanks offshore keep the water calm. Goeree-Overflakkee is visible to the south and the port of Maasvlakte to the north. Much of the dune edge behind the section is a bird breeding area within a Natura 2000 site, so stay on the beach. There are no facilities on the nude section and no lifeguard. The nearest lifeguard post is at Eerste Slag, about 1.5 km beyond the southern boundary. Salsa Beach Club and another pavilion are at the Tweede Slag beach entrance. Dogs are not allowed on the section.
Getting there
Use the northern beach entrance, Tweede Slag, at Rockanje. The paid car park there is about 900 m from the nude section. From the beach, walk right (north) for about 1 km to the signs at pole 11.4. Bicycle parking is near the entrance. The nearest bus stop is Rockanje Dorpsplein, about 3 km away. Entry is free. The soft-sand walk makes the beach unsuitable for people with reduced mobility.

Legal context
Under Dutch criminal law (article 430a), nudity is allowed wherever it is suitable, but municipalities can ban it in their bylaws (APV) and set aside designated nude areas. Rockanje's nude beach is officially designated and signposted between poles 10.6 and 11.4, but its limits have moved over the years. The dunes behind are a protected Natura 2000 breeding area, so stay on the sand.
Naturism at Nudist beach Rockanje sits under Netherlands's rules for officially designated nude beaches — explicit protection inside the marked area.
