About Naturbad Luppa

Naturbad Luppa is a lake bathing site in a former gravel pit between Luppa and Dahlen, in the municipality of Wermsdorf in northern Saxony. The water covers about 35 hectares and is edged by roughly 1.5 km of sandy beach with a gently shelving entry suitable for non-swimmers. About 1,000 metres of that shoreline is set aside as a nudist (FKK) beach, according to the Leipzig regional tourism board, which makes it one of the longer FKK stretches in the Leipzig area; the remainder is a conventional beach. Activities include boating, windsurfing, beach volleyball, diving and fishing in a designated angling zone. Catering runs on weekends before and after the summer holidays and daily during them. A motorhome port with 52 pitches opened in May 2026, with its own access to the lake and a dog area beside it. Bathing is free and at your own risk. Hours in the season are 9:00 to 20:30.

Getting there

Naturbad Luppa is on Torgauer Straße, 04779 Wermsdorf. By car follow the B6 to Luppa and turn onto Friedrich-Engels-Straße towards Dahlen. The barrier-controlled car park costs EUR 2 for two hours, EUR 3 for three hours or EUR 5 per day; the ticket is refunded if you spend EUR 20 at the restaurant. By public transport take the RE50 to Dahlen, then bus 816 to the Naturbad Luppa stop, or walk about 750 m from Dahlen station along Torgauer Straße. The beach is flat sand.
