About Monknash and Wick
Monknash beach lies on the Glamorgan Heritage Coast in the Vale of Glamorgan, below high, striped limestone and shale cliffs between Monknash and Wick, west of Llantwit Major. Naturists use the flat rock platforms at the north-western end of the beach, nearest Wick, beyond a headland from the main access point. From the valley the route crosses a pebble beach, rounds the headland and reaches a sandy stretch before the flat rocks, so the beach is a mixture of pebbles, sand and wave-cut rock. Because it is a long way from any road and depends on the tide, the beach is little used, and British Naturism says it has never had problems there. The rocks at the headland can be crossed safely only within about three hours either side of low water; outside that window you risk being cut off. There are no facilities. British Naturism describes Monknash as much nicer than Lavernock, nearer Cardiff.
Getting there
Drive to Monknash village (off the B4265 between Llantwit Major and St Brides Major) and use the farmer's field car park, leaving the suggested donation in the honesty box. Walk down the lane and through the wooded valley (the Cwm) to the shore, then turn right across the pebbles and round the headland to the sand and flat rocks. An emergency ladder at the Wick end is used by some but not recommended. Plan around low tide. Unsuitable for wheelchairs.

Legal context
British Naturism states this is not an official beach; nude use is informal. There is no designation scheme for nude beaches in England and Wales; simple nudity is not an offence, and the Sexual Offences Act 2003 exposure offence requires intent to cause alarm or distress.
Naturism at Monknash and Wick sits under United Kingdom's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
