About Little Jibbon Beach
Little Jibbon is a tiny, isolated beach on the northern tip of Royal National Park, just east of the village of Bundeena on Sydney's southern edge. It lies around the headland from the larger Jibbon Beach, near Jibbon Head and its Aboriginal rock engravings, facing Port Hacking and the open sea. Tourism Australia describes it as a wild spot where you can join fellow naturists, while noting that neighbouring Jibbon Beach is not for naturists. Naturist guides call it the most secluded nude beach in Sydney; even on a busy day only a handful of people are there. The whole of the little beach is used nude; there is no marked section. It is a narrow strip of sand backed by bush and rocks, with no facilities, no shade structures and no lifeguards. Opinions differ about its status: some bushwalking notes insist it is not a nudist beach, and it is not one of the legally designated nude beaches in NSW (Werrong Beach, further south in the same park, is).
Getting there
Drive to Bundeena through Royal National Park, or take the roughly 20-minute ferry from Cronulla to Bundeena wharf. Walk east to Jibbon Beach and along it to the eastern end, where a track branches off towards Jibbon Head and down to Little Jibbon. The last 50 metres past the headland are steep and can be very muddy after rain, so wear proper shoes. Stay on the boardwalk around the Jibbon Head engravings. Not suitable for wheelchairs.
What visitors say
Visitors value Little Jibbon for its isolation and calm, describing it as very quiet with only a few people even at busy times. The walk from Bundeena, past Jibbon Beach and the rock engravings, is part of the trip. The main warnings are the short steep, muddy final section of the path and the lack of any facilities. A minority of walkers object to nudity here, and some trail notes say outright that it is not a nude beach, so visitors suggest discretion on the approach path.

Amenities
Legal context
Little Jibbon is not a designated nude beach under NSW law; nude bathing there is tolerated rather than legally protected. Tourism Australia lists it as a naturist beach (checked 2026), but some walking guides urge visitors to report nude bathers, so conflicts are possible. The legally designated nude beach in Royal National Park is Werrong Beach.
Naturism at Little Jibbon Beach sits under Australia's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
