About Jerolim Island Naturist Beach
Jerolim is a tiny, uninhabited pine-covered islet of about 0.2 square kilometres, the closest of the Pakleni (Paklinski) islands to Hvar town, just south-west of the harbour. It has been used by naturists since the 1950s and is often described as one of the oldest naturist spots in Croatia; in late 2011 CNN named it among the world's best nude beaches, which brought a wave of attention. The main naturist beach is on the south side of the island, with a bar and restaurant, showers, and deck chairs and parasols for rent. The shore is rocky with flat slabs rather than sand, and the sea is very clear and deep close in; water shoes help. Away from the main beach, smaller rocky coves and ledges around the 2.4 km coastline give more privacy. Today nudity is optional: many visitors from the taxi boats stay clothed, especially in high season, while regular naturists head to the quieter rocks. It gets busy in July and August with day-trippers from Hvar.
Getting there
Taxi boats leave Hvar town harbour frequently in summer; Jerolim is usually the first stop, about 5-15 minutes away. A return fare was reported at around 10 euros, but prices change each season. There is no car access; park in Hvar town's paid car parks or arrive by ferry or catamaran from Split. On the island, short footpaths through the pines link the landing, the main beach and the rocky coves. Rocky terrain makes it unsuitable for wheelchair users.
What visitors say
Visitors love the short boat ride, clear water and pine shade, and many call it the easiest naturist escape from Hvar town. A frequent observation is that the island is now mixed: many day-trippers stay clothed, which some naturists find off-putting, though nobody is hassled either way. The restaurant and sunbed service get good mentions; the rocky entry and summer crowds are the main drawbacks. Regulars recommend early boats and walking to the smaller coves for space.

Legal context
Croatian public order law prohibits nudity in public places outside areas designated for it; naturist (FKK) beaches marked as such are legal. Jerolim has been a recognised naturist island since the 1950s and is signed as FKK, but I did not find a current official designation document. Clothed visitors are common and not challenged.
Naturism at Jerolim Island Naturist Beach sits under Croatia's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
