About Hoek van Holland
Hoek van Holland is Rotterdam's seaside district, at the mouth of the Nieuwe Waterweg where ships enter the port. The main beach, around the Badweg and Zeekant, is wide, busy and well equipped. The naturist section is on the quieter north side, towards 's-Gravenzande: a signposted 500 m stretch of North Sea beach between the Stuifkenszand and Vlugtenburg entrances, at beach posts 116.12 to 116.62. It is wide, fine sand that slopes gently into the sea, with new dunes behind it from the 2008 coastal reinforcement. Nudity is no longer allowed in the dunes, which are fenced off. There are no facilities on the nude stretch itself apart from bins and a small rescue post. A handful of overnight beach cabins stand on it. The Elements Beach pavilion is about 150 m away and BeachLine about 700 m south. On hot days Hoek van Holland draws big crowds from Rotterdam, and traffic on the single access road, the N220, can back up. The metro to Hoek van Holland Strand, opened in 2023, has made it much easier to reach without a car.
Getting there
Take the Hoekse Lijn metro from Rotterdam Centraal to Hoek van Holland Strand (about 37 minutes), then walk north along the beach. By car, follow the N220 (Maasdijk), which jams on sunny days. Naturist listings give free parking about 800 m and 1.3 km from the zone, with bicycle parking closer. Toilets are at the beach entrance, not on the naturist stretch. The nude section is only reached across soft sand. Beach wheelchairs are available at the main Hoek van Holland beach.
What visitors say
Too little first-hand review material was found to summarise visitor opinion reliably. Naturist listings mainly stress practical points: it is easy to reach by metro, has no facilities on the stretch itself, the dunes are closed, and the beach is crowded on hot weekends.

Legal context
Naturist guides describe this as a designated and signposted naturist zone, but no municipal source confirming it was found in this research. Nudity is allowed only inside the signed stretch and not in the fenced dunes, which naturist guides say are closed under the Dutch Criminal Code (art. 461 Sr, trespass on closed land).
Naturism at Hoek van Holland sits under Netherlands's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
