About Gräbendorfer See
The Gräbendorfer See is a flooded former lignite mine in the Lusatian Lakeland (Lausitzer Seenland), between Vetschau/Spreewald, Altdöbern and Drebkau in southern Brandenburg. Its landmark is a bird-protection island colonised by gulls. The lake has two main bathing beaches: the Gräbendorfer Strand leisure area on the south shore at Reddern, opened officially in 2015, with a roughly 50-metre natural bathing area sloping from a sunbathing lawn, a campsite, playground and public toilets; and the beach at Laasow by the floating holiday houses. Brandenburg's official tourism site says that between these two beaches, along the shore with small strands and shady coves, individual textile-free bathing is also possible. So there is no fenced or signed FKK beach; nude bathers spread out in the quieter coves along the lakeside path. None of the beaches is lifeguarded, and the water entry at Reddern is fairly shallow.
Getting there
A 9 km, 2.6 m wide asphalt circuit path runs flat all the way round the lake, so every cove is easy to reach on foot or by bike. Free parking (about 90 spaces) is at the Gräbendorfer Strand entrance in Reddern (Inselblick 1, 03229 Altdöbern); there is also parking at the Laasow beach. By car use state road L52 from Drebkau/Casel or Calau, or K6633 from Altdöbern. Bus 609 (Calau–Missen–Vetschau) stops in Reddern, about 2 km from the beach.

Legal context
Public nudity is not a criminal offence in Germany in itself; it can be fined as an administrative offence (Belästigung der Allgemeinheit, § 118 OWiG) where it causes a public nuisance, and municipalities can regulate it in bathing bylaws. Brandenburg's official tourism site (TMB) states that individual textile-free bathing is possible between the Reddern campsite beach and Laasow beach; there is no signed FKK zone and the beaches are unguarded.
Naturism at Gräbendorfer See sits under Germany's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.

Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
