About FKK-Strand Bottsand
Wendtorf is a small resort in the Probstei, on the eastern shore of the outer Kiel Fjord facing the Baltic Sea. Its quiet natural beach lies immediately east of the Bottsand, a sand spit and nature reserve that visitors may enter only on a guided walk. This undeveloped stretch, with low dunes and beach grass, is the part used by nude bathers. Both the regional Baltic tourism board and the Probstei tourism office describe it as quiet and unspoilt and say naturists are well catered for. No marked zone boundary is published. Beach Atlas puts the nude section at about 280 m of the natural beach next to the reserve. The beach is sand, the water is calm Baltic, and it is free of the daily tourist tax charged at many neighbouring beaches. The site is known for its seclusion compared with busier Laboe or Schönberger Strand. Dogs are not allowed on this beach. The nearest dog beaches are at Heidkate and on the cliffs at Stein. Accessible toilets are at the Bottsand nature station.
Getting there
From Kiel, follow signs for Wendtorf and the Marina Wendtorf on the eastern side of the fjord. Paid parking is behind the dike. The main lot for the natural beach is the 'Bottsand' car park on Schleusenweg, and the marina has further seasonal lots. From the dike, a short walk over a sandy path leads to the beach. Accessible toilets are at the Naturschutzstation Bottsand. The reserve itself can be entered only on a guided tour.

Legal context
Official tourism bodies (Ostsee-Holstein-Tourismus and Probstei) state that naturists are welcome on Wendtorf's natural beach beside the Bottsand, but they publish no formally signposted FKK zone. The beach is free of tourist tax. Stay out of the Bottsand reserve, which is open only on guided tours.
Naturism at FKK-Strand Bottsand sits under Germany's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
