About FKK-Bereich Halberstädter See
The Halberstädter See is a former gravel-extraction lake on the north-eastern edge of Halberstadt in the northern Harz foreland of Saxony-Anhalt, near the district of Wehrstedt. Its southern part is a fenced, paid lido run by the Freizeit- und Sportzentrum Halberstadt (FSZ), with a sandy beach, a bathing island, pedal boat, canoe and SUP hire from a jetty, a playground and a snack and ice-cream kiosk. The front of the lido with the sand beach is for clothed bathers; the rear section is the FKK area, which the operator advertises as a quiet zone for undisturbed sunbathing. Visitors describe it as a large lawn with some shade, a reed belt around the shore broken by several sandy to gravelly, gently shelving entry points, and good, clean water for long swims. Older visitors tend to predominate, especially on cooler days, but on hot days the FKK lawn is busy. The northern part of the lake is outside the lido and not approved for bathing; a second lake beside it is still being quarried and bathing there is banned.
Getting there
From the B81 at the Magdeburg side of Halberstadt, turn north towards Wehrstedt just inside the town; the lake is about 1 km further, with a large car park in front of the lido. The lido charges entry: in 2026 a day ticket costs 5 EUR for adults and 4 EUR for children, or 4/3 EUR after 17:00; season and 10-visit cards are available. Inside, walk past the textile sand beach to the rear FKK lawn. Paths within the lido are level grass.
What visitors say
Reports describe the Halberstädter See as an attractive, clean lake with very good water, and the FKK area as spacious and good for swimming in peace. Visitors note a mixed public from young to old, with the over-50s predominating outside peak heat, and a well-used nude lawn on sunny days. Some mention that men meet in the dense vegetation along the unofficial northern shore outside the lido, though this is barely noticed inside the bathing area. Little recent review material was found beyond the operator's own pages.

Amenities
Legal context
The FSZ Halberstadt, which runs the lido, advertises an FKK area within the fenced bathing site (2026). Bathing is permitted only in the official southern section; the northern lake area and the neighbouring working gravel pit are closed to bathing. Whether FSZ is municipally owned was not confirmed, so the designation is treated as the operator's.
Naturism at FKK-Bereich Halberstädter See sits under Germany's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
