About Es Trenc
Es Trenc is the longest undeveloped beach in Mallorca, a roughly 3 km sweep of white sand and turquoise water on the south coast in Campos, between Sa Ràpita and Colònia de Sant Jordi. Behind it lie dunes and pine woods within a protected natural park. The water is usually calm and shallow. Nude bathing at Es Trenc goes back to before the end of the Franco era, and the Spanish Naturist Federation lists it as a beach of nudist tradition. Guides place the main nude area east of the small settlement of Ses Covetes, along the central part of the beach, with clothed bathers concentrated near the access points. The beach is very busy in July and August. The federation lists no lifeguards or showers on the nude stretch, so bring water and shade.
Getting there
The main access points are at Ses Covetes and at paid car parks near the main entrances; some car parks are more than 1 km from the shore and reached by a path. Spaces are limited and fill by mid-morning in summer. Walk east from Ses Covetes along the beach to reach the nude area. Off-season parking on the Sa Ràpita side is free according to one listing. The sandy approach is not wheelchair friendly.
What visitors say
Guides praise Es Trenc's white sand and clear, calm water and describe the nude section as long established. The main complaints are crowding and parking in high summer, and the long walk from some car parks. Tips: arrive early, bring shade, and walk east from Ses Covetes for more space.
