Erholungspark Pirkau "Mondsee

Drive to Sonnenweg 1, 06679 Hohenmölsen (Ortsteil Pirkau); the park is signposted from Hohenmölsen and lies south-west of Leipzig, reached via the B176 and A9/A38. There is a car park at the entrance; a combined entry and parking charge applies (a visitor reported 3.50 EUR per day in 2011; the current fee schedule is published as a PDF on the operator site). Public transport is limited to regional buses to Hohenmölsen. From the entrance walk along the textile beach past the log-cabin restaurant to the FKK section; paths are level sand and grass.

Reports over many years are positive: visitors single out the clear, clean water of the former pit, the natural sand-and-grass shore and the quiet, sheltered spots between the reeds at the back of the FKK section. The crowd is described as mixed in age, with families, couples and singles, and the log-cabin restaurant near the start of the nude area gets good mentions. Some note that you have to walk past the textile beach to reach it. Little recent detailed review material was found, so check current entry fees with the park.
