About Spiaggia del Lazzaretto (Adige)

The Lazzaretto is a riverside park on the Adige in the south-east of Verona, named after the ruins of a 16th-century plague hospital. Below it a broad sandy bank, known locally as the Lazzaretto beach, is used for sunbathing and paddling, and naturist lists record informal nude use along the quieter stretches. It is a river shore, not a seaside beach: there are no facilities, the current can be strong after rain, and nudity is tolerated rather than authorised, so stay discreet and well away from the cycle path.

This Italy naturist beach is a clothing-optional place in a traditionally tolerated setting. Families are welcome.

Legal context
