About Cala Presili
Cala Presili, also called Cala Capifort, is an undeveloped beach on Menorca's north-east coast in the municipality of Maó, just south of the Cap de Favàritx lighthouse. It lies at the edge of the s'Albufera des Grau Natural Park, a wetland on bird migration routes, and the dark slate headland of Favàritx shelters it from the worst of the tramuntana wind. The beach is a stretch of light sand backed by low dunes and slopes, with clear, shallow water and rocky edges that suit snorkelling. The Balearic tourism board describes it as a nudist beach, and Menorca's daily paper includes it among the Spanish Naturist Federation's Menorcan beaches with nudist tradition. It is the first beach reached from the Favàritx car park along the Camí de Cavalls, with Cala Tortuga about 1 km further on. There are no buildings and no services, and nudity is generally accepted across the beach, though it is shared with walkers and clothed bathers.
Getting there
From Maó (about 17 km) follow signs to Cap de Favàritx. Park in the car park on the left about 200 m before the lighthouse, then take the signed Camí de Cavalls path to the right: roughly 1 km, 15-20 minutes on foot. The road is narrow and access to the lighthouse area can be restricted in summer. No public transport and no facilities; bring water, food and shade. Not wheelchair accessible.

Legal context
Nudity is not an offence on Spanish public beaches, and the Spanish Penal Code has not treated it as public indecency since 1989. A municipality can still restrict it by local ordinance. The Balearic Islands tourism board (illesbalears.travel) describes Capifort/Presili as a nudist beach. It is within the s'Albufera des Grau protected area, so camping, fires and leaving rubbish are prohibited (checked 2026).
Naturism at Cala Presili sits under Spain's rules for officially designated nude beaches — explicit protection inside the marked area.

Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
