About Cala Jugadora
Cala Jugadora is a small cove on the rugged north-east face of the Cap de Creus peninsula, inside the Cap de Creus Natural Park, a few kilometres from Cadaqués and close to the Cap de Creus lighthouse. It sits at the end of a dry stream bed between bare rocky headlands, with no buildings and almost no vegetation around it. The beach is short, roughly 15 m across, made of coarse sand, gravel and stones, and the seabed below is rock, which makes the very clear water good for snorkelling; the area is a marine protection zone and fish are plentiful. It faces away from the worst of the tramuntana in many conditions, but the north wind can still make the sea rough. Nude bathing is the norm here: the Club Català de Naturisme includes it in its list of Catalan nude beaches (Alt Empordà section), alongside other Cap de Creus coves such as Cala Nans and the s'Alqueria beaches. It attracts mainly couples and walkers; numbers stay low even in summer because of the walk and limited parking.
Getting there
Drive from Cadaqués towards the Cap de Creus lighthouse. From about mid-June to the end of September the lighthouse road is closed to cars during the day (roughly 9:30 to 20:00), and access is on foot, by bike or by shuttle bus from Cadaqués. Outside those hours or seasons there is a small free parking area, which fills quickly. From the lighthouse road a path follows the dry stream bed down to the cove; guides give 10 to 30 minutes on foot over rocky, uneven ground. Not wheelchair accessible.
What visitors say
Visitors praise the wild, lunar Cap de Creus scenery and the exceptionally clear water, and many come for snorkelling. The cove is small and stony, so water shoes and a mat help. Most report a calm, relaxed nude atmosphere with few people. Downsides mentioned are the lack of any shade or services, the hot rocky walk and the difficulty of parking in high season, when the shuttle bus is the easier option. Days with strong tramuntana are best avoided.

Legal context
Nudity is not an offence under Spanish law and Catalan nude beaches are usually recognised by tradition rather than signposting. Cala Jugadora is listed by the Club Català de Naturisme as a nude beach but no municipal designation by Cadaqués was found. It lies in the Cap de Creus Natural Park, where seasonal road closures and marine protection rules apply.
Naturism at Cala Jugadora sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
