About Cala del Senyor Ramon

Cala del Senyor Ramon, also called Cala de la Corcollada, is an isolated cove on the cliff-lined stretch of the Costa Brava between Tossa de Mar and Sant Feliu de Guíxols. It belongs to Santa Cristina d'Aro, though it lies about 11 km from that town's centre. The cove is roughly 150 m long and about 15 m deep, with a mix of sand and large boulders. The small Canyet islets lie to the left, and the tiny Concagats cove sits to the right beyond the rocks. Pine-covered cliffs rise straight behind it, and boats often anchor offshore in summer. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists it as a beach with a long naturist tradition, and nudity is the norm across the whole cove. FEN's listing mentions a beach bar, toilets and litter bins but no lifeguard, and rates occupancy as medium. Waves are usually moderate. Do not sit right under the cliffs, because rockfall is a risk. It is one of the best-known nude coves on the southern Costa Brava.

Getting there

The cove is at kilometre 35 of the GI-682 coast road from Tossa de Mar to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, just past Cala Vallpresona. There is a car park some way above the beach, which may charge in summer. From there, walk down the last stretch on a path. You can also walk in from the Rosamar housing estate. The road is narrow and winding, and the path is steep in places. The beach is not accessible for wheelchairs.
