About Cala de Testos
Cala dels Testos (Los Tiestos) is a small, discreet cove on the cliff coast of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, between Xàbia and Moraira on the northern Costa Blanca. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists it as a nudist cove and notes that Benitatxell has only two coves, El Moraig and Los Tiestos, both with a nudist tradition. It is roughly 100 to 150 metres long, of gravel, with calm, clear water and low occupancy, enclosed by high cliffs. There are no lifeguards or showers. The federation suggests that arriving by sea is easiest: the footpath down offers spectacular views but is difficult and not well suited to families. We found no other published description, so check conditions locally, as cliff paths on this coast are sometimes closed for rockfall risk. Note: the Spanish Naturist Federation is the only source we found that reports nude bathing here, and other guides do not mention it. Nude use may be occasional or limited to the quieter end, so expect most visitors to be clothed and check on arrival.
Getting there
The cove is best reached by boat or kayak. A footpath descends the cliffs from Benitatxell's cliff-top area; the federation describes it as scenic but difficult, so wear proper shoes and avoid it with small children. No facilities and no wheelchair access.
Legal context
Public nudity is not an offence in Spain, and the Spanish Naturist Federation (FEN) lists Cala dels Testos as a cove of nudist tradition. There is no municipal naturist designation that we could find (2026).
Naturism at Cala de Testos sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
Full country law: Spain public nudity guide.
Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
