About Cala de Sa Torreta
Platja de Sa Torreta is an undeveloped beach on Menorca's north-east coast, in the municipality of Maó, inside the S'Albufera des Grau natural park north of the village of Es Grau. It is a protected virgin beach that can only be reached on foot, by bike or by sea, and like neighbouring La Morella it is backed by dunes and associated marshland, with a small pine wood behind the sand that gives some shade. Sa Torreta appears on the Spanish Naturist Federation's list of Menorca beaches with a nudist tradition, alongside nearby Cala Tamarells, Sa Mesquida and others. Menorca has no officially designated nudist beaches: nudity is a matter of local custom, and no beach on the island is reserved for either nude or clothed bathers. Because of the walk-in access and lack of any facilities, Sa Torreta stays quiet compared with the island's car-accessible beaches, and it is a common stop for kayakers paddling the coast from Es Grau.
Getting there
Start on the Camí de Cavalls coastal path, which leaves the Maó-Es Grau road at the entrance to S'Albufera des Grau,. The route follows unpaved trails through the natural park; mountain bikes are an alternative, and kayakers reach it by sea. There are no facilities and no wheelchair access. Bring water and sun protection.

Legal context
Spanish national law does not prohibit public nudity; some municipalities restrict it by local ordinance. Menorca has no official nudist beaches; Sa Torreta is listed by the Spanish Naturist Federation as having a nudist tradition (as reported by Menorca.info, 2024). Rules of the S'Albufera des Grau natural park apply to dunes and vegetation.
Naturism at Cala de Sa Torreta sits under Spain's rules for traditional tolerance — custom more than statute.
