About Cala Bella Dona

Cala Bella Dona is a small, sheltered cove on the south-west coast of Mallorca in Calvià, below the Sol de Mallorca housing estate near Cala Falcó. Locally it goes by several older names, including Caló de sa Nostra Dama, Caló de la Dona Morta, Caló de ses Paparres and Caló des Suro. The Balearic tourism board states that Calvià town council has declared it a naturist beach, so nude bathing applies to the whole cove rather than to a marked section. It is a quiet spot reached by a staircase from the estate, with no beach facilities, and the water is notably clear, which draws snorkellers and divers. Offshore lies the islet of Illot del Sec, known for the wreck of an ancient Greek ship. Calvià's better-known official nude beach, El Mago at Portals Vells, is also in the municipality, and guides often mention the two together. Expect a small bay rather than a long beach.

Getting there

Follow the road signs to the Urbanización Sol de Mallorca in Calvià; from the estate a staircase leads down to the cove. Official sources give no car park, so expect to find a space on the residential streets. No public transport stop or wheelchair access is mentioned, and the steps rule out pushchairs.

What visitors say

Visitor reviews are mixed. Some praise the clear water and quiet, while others report plastic debris and seaweed washing in and occasional loud groups. Because the cove is small, a handful of visitors can make it feel busy.
