About Buxinsee
The Buxinsee is a small, quiet lake in the Barnim district of Brandenburg, between the A11 junction at Britz and the town of Joachimsthal, at the edge of the Schorfheide forest. It has no lido or facilities; nude use is informal and has been reported by naturists since at least 2003. The best-known spot is on the west side, where a short forest track (closed to cars by a barrier) leads about 200 m through beech woodland to a secluded strip of shore that visitors describe as a lonely FKK beach. A 2011 report adds that the east side has a series of small bathing spots where nude swimming is also usual, and that the banks there shelve gently, which makes them easier for children. Expect a natural lakeshore with forest shade rather than a sandy beach, few people on most days, and nothing to buy on site: bring water and food. Because the information comes from a handful of older visitor reports, check conditions on arrival.
Getting there
By car, leave the A11 at the Britz exit (not the Joachimsthal exit) and drive towards Joachimsthal. After roughly 500 m a forest track leaves the road on the right, closed by a barrier; from there it is about 200 m on foot through the beech wood to the west-shore spot. Parking is only possible on the roadside and space is limited. The smaller east-shore bathing spots are reached from paths around the lake. There are no facilities and the paths are unpaved forest tracks, so it is not suitable for wheelchairs.
What visitors say
The few visitor reports available describe a very quiet, secluded lake where nude bathing is accepted. The west-shore spot in the beech wood is valued for its solitude; the east shore offers several small spots with shallow entries that suit families with children. The main practical complaint is the shortage of roadside parking. Reports are old (2003 to 2011), so current conditions may differ.

Legal context
There is no designated FKK area at the Buxinsee; nude bathing here is a long-standing informal custom reported by visitors (2003, 2011). Nude bathing is not generally prohibited in Brandenburg, but no local ordinance or signage authorising it was found.
Naturism at Buxinsee sits under Germany's rules for traditional tolerance — custom more than statute.
