About Bömbachsee
The Bömbachsee is a small bathing lake in the Bömbach valley between Spielberg (a district of Altensteig) and Egenhausen in the northern Black Forest, Kreis Calw. It is listed as a simple EU-monitored bathing place, and its water quality has been classed at least 'good' for several years running. There is no restaurant or kiosk directly at the lake, so it is a quiet, low-key spot surrounded by meadows and woodland in the Schwarzwald Mitte/Nord nature park, used mainly by locals. Nude use is occasional and unofficial. The only first-hand account, on nacktbaden.de from 2008, says few people bathe nude here but that it had never caused problems and was not expressly forbidden; the contributor suggested keeping to the left-hand shore as seen from the car park, where it bothered nobody. Treat it as a textile lake where a discreet nude swim may be tolerated rather than as a nude beach.
Getting there
The lake lies between Spielberg and Egenhausen, south of Altensteig; there is a car park about 500 m from the water, from which a short walk leads to the shore. A bus stop serves the area (used as the start of a local cycling route). The nudist-tolerant stretch reported in 2008 is the left-hand shore when looking from the car park. No services at the lake: bring food and water.

Legal context
Official EU bathing water, but no nude area is designated. A 2008 user report says nudity was not expressly banned and caused no problems; no newer information was found, so expect textile norms.
Naturism at Bömbachsee sits under Germany's rules for traditional tolerance — custom more than statute.
