About Baggersee Meißenheim
The Baggersee Meißenheim, also listed as the Kiesgrube Meißenheim or Vältinschollensee, is a gravel-pit lake in the Rhine floodplain west of Meißenheim, about 15 km south-west of Offenburg in the Ortenau. It is officially classed as a bathing place: freely accessible to the public but without typical facilities. Komoot users note that some parts of the shore are suitable for bathing while entry is prohibited at others, so signs need to be respected. A sandy, dune-like area lies in front of the lake.
