About Kiskundorozsma naturist beach and campsite

Sziksósfürdő is a small lake on the sandy plain north-west of Szeged, near Kiskundorozsma, about 12 km from the city centre. On its shore a naturist beach and campsite, known locally as Sziki, occupies a landscaped site of about five hectares with around 100 pitches, roughly half for touring guests. Day visitors can use the beach, and campers have tent and caravan pitches with electricity, rental caravans and small wooden houses. The site has a buffet and fast-food counter, hot and cold showers, a common room, children's play areas indoors and out, barbecue space and a sports area, and it presents itself as a family-oriented naturist place. The lake is shallow with a soft, muddy bottom, and the setting is open and green. The bathing water is registered with the county government office as a natural bathing site and has been rated satisfactory in recent years. It opens from early May to mid- or late September; listings disagree on the closing date, and one recent listing showed no current opening hours, so confirm before travelling.

Legal context & local rules

Hungary has no national naturism law; nudity is lawful on designated naturist beaches and private naturist premises, while public nudity elsewhere can be treated as disorderly conduct. This is a privately run naturist beach and campsite, registered as a natural bathing site with the Csongrád-Csanád county government office (2023-2024).

Public nudity at designated naturist venues (particularly Lake Balaton facilities) is de facto legal and recognised by local authorities. Hungary's Criminal Code does not explicitly criminalise non-sexual public nudity in designated naturist spaces. However, unsolicited exposure outside naturist areas may invoke indecent conduct provisions under general public order statutes.

Getting there and visiting

From Szeged take Road 5 or the M5 towards Kiskundorozsma towards Sziksósfürdő; the address is Vereshomok dűlő 1, 6791 Szeged. Visitors report the final access road is full of potholes, so drive slowly. Parking is on site for guests. Szeged local buses serve Kiskundorozsma, but expect a walk from the nearest stop. The grounds are flat grass; wheelchair access is not documented.

What visitors say

Guests generally rate the site highly for quiet and friendliness and describe a relaxed, family-style naturist atmosphere. Food and shop options score lower. One recent camper described pitches as unkempt, the access road as badly potholed and the lake bottom as muddy, while still praising the pretty outlook. Opinions on upkeep vary between seasons.

Balatonberény Naturist Beach

Balatonberény's naturist beach lies at the western end of Lake Balaton's south shore, at Hétvezér utca 2 on the west side of the village, about 700 m from the centre and railway station. It is a fenced, ticketed lido run by Balatontourist next to the Berény naturist campsite, and is now Hungary's leading organised naturist site on the lake since Balatonakali closed. Instead of sand, it is a landscaped lawn screened by reed beds, with a large circular sunbathing pier that the municipality calls the biggest built on Balaton. The water is shallow, typical of the south shore, and is entered by an accessible path and wide, low steps. Facilities are extensive for a beach: free sunbeds, benches and sun sails, a playground, beach volleyball, minigolf, table tennis and an outdoor gym, plus a restaurant and bar, sauna and massage. It holds a five-star Blue Flag rating. Families are explicitly catered for, with family tickets, a baby-changing room and children's animation in high season. Most guests are from abroad.

Listings describe about 148 touring pitches and 40 year-round pitches, along with motel rooms, apartments and mobile homes. The site is about 700 metres from the village centre and railway station. The site is open through the main summer season, roughly May to September, with lifeguards on the beach from July to early September. Sports and games are available on site, along with massage and beauty treatments. Reviews are mixed: visitors praise the cleanliness and staff, while older reviews criticise water quality and washroom facilities. The campsite is naturist, and the beach is billed as the only naturist beach on Lake Balaton.

Naturista Oázis Kemping

Naturista Oázis Kemping és Szabadidőpark is a naturist campsite and leisure park on lake no. 5 of the Délegyháza lake system, flooded former gravel pits about 27 km south of Budapest and a few kilometres from the Ráckeve arm of the Danube. It is run by the Hungarian Naturists' Association (Magyar Naturisták Egyesülete) and is often described as the first and largest naturist camp in Hungary, covering around 23 hectares. Campers pitch among trees close to the clear lake, which has pebble beaches, and day visitors come out from Budapest in summer to swim and sunbathe nude. Listings mention snack bars, playgrounds and sports areas; the association has added a renovated yurt, the Gábor ház, as rental accommodation, and runs a programme of events each season. Guest ratings praise the calm but are poor on the state of the washrooms. The season runs from April to October.
