About Couples Tower Isle
Couples Tower Isle is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort for couples on Jamaica's north coast at Tower Isle in St Mary parish, about 20 minutes east of Ocho Rios. It is the original property of the family-run Couples chain and is often cited as Jamaica's first all-inclusive hotel. The 19-acre beachfront site has four pools, three hot tubs, six restaurants, five bars and a spa, with watersports such as kayaking, Hobie Cat sailing, snorkelling and paddleboarding included in the rate. It is a textile resort with one exception: a small offshore cay reached by the resort's boat shuttle, a few minutes from the main beach, which is set aside as a clothing-optional area. Nudity is not allowed anywhere on the main resort grounds. A fort and vegetation screen the island from view of the mainland. The resort is open year-round and is known for a high share of repeat guests.
Legal context & local rules
Public nudity is illegal in Jamaica; nudity is permitted only on the resort's private clothing-optional island.
Public nudity is technically illegal in Jamaica under the Sexual Offences Act, 2009, and Offences Against the Person Act. However, Jamaica is internationally renowned for clothing-optional resorts that operate with tacit government tolerance. These resorts provide private, enclosed environments where naturism is practised legally under private property exemptions. Public nudity outside resort grounds remains illegal.
What’s here
Getting there and visiting
The resort lies on the main north-coast road at Tower Isle, east of Ocho Rios; transfers from Montego Bay airport take about two hours, and Kingston is about 90 minutes. Stays are all-inclusive for adult couples only; there are no day passes for naturists. Reach the clothing-optional island by the resort's boat shuttle from the main beach. A 2025 review put rates at around US$500 per couple per night, and rates vary widely by season and room type.
What visitors say
Reviewers describe a warm, long-established couples resort with friendly staff and many repeat guests. Naturists should note that only the offshore island is clothing-optional; some booking sites describe the whole resort as clothing-optional, which reviews contradict. Sea conditions on the main beach can be rough, and some reviewers find it expensive compared with other options.

FKK Strand Nude Beach Grand Bahia
This is the clothing-optional section of the beach at the Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica, a large all-inclusive resort at Runaway Bay on Jamaica's north coast in St Ann parish, between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. The nude area lies on the far western edge of the resort's shoreline and is screened from the rest of the beach by a tall fence, so nude guests are out of view of the main textile beach. It is an adults-only space with sun loungers and umbrellas, and the resort's bars and restrooms are close by. The shore here has a rocky entry into the water, so water shoes make swimming easier. Reviewers describe the area as calm, discreet and rarely busy, with a low-key crowd of couples rather than a party scene. Because the beach is part of the resort property, it is only usable by people staying at the Bahia Principe complex; it is not a public nude beach, and nudity is not accepted anywhere outside the fenced section.
Grand Lido Negril Au-Naturel Resort
Grand Lido Negril Au-Naturel is an adults-only, clothing-optional resort in Orange Bay, Hanover Parish, on Jamaica's western coast near Negril. It is part of the Autograph Collection and has 26 ocean-facing suites in a secluded area, six of them swim-out. Guests get butler service and a complimentary minibar. The resort reopened in late August 2026 after an extended closure, alongside its neighbours, Royalton Negril and Hideaway at Royalton Negril. Guests can use the facilities of both neighbouring resorts, which are clothing-required. Sources differ on the beach: one says the resort has its own clothing-optional beach, while a more detailed account says there is no real beach at the property and guests walk next door in swimwear. One reviewer reported that the pool is clothing-optional rather than nude-only. Age rules are sources of confusion too: the operator's site says 21 and over, and another listing says 21 and over. Check the resort for current rules before booking.
Hedonism II
Hedonism II is an adults-only, clothing-optional resort on Negril Beach in Westmoreland, Jamaica. It sits in about 22 acres of landscaped gardens and is one of the best-known clothing-optional resorts in the Caribbean. The property is split into a nude section and a 'prude' section. The nude side requires nudity at the beach, pool and hot tub, while the prude-category rooms, which are Garden View and Ocean View, sit on the quieter, clothing-optional beach and gardens. Guests of either category may use both sides, but nudity is not allowed in the main public areas. The resort has multiple pools, restaurants, bars, a spa and water sports. Its nude beach is part of the resort grounds and is not a separate public beach. Sources describe a lively party atmosphere, and they note that guests need not be nudists or swingers, but that it is a poor fit for anyone uncomfortable with nudity. Current policies, rates and any access rules for non-guests need to be checked with the resort.
