About Barefeet Naturist Resort
Barefeet Naturist Resort is a commercial naturist resort in the Bangkok area, described in Thai and Scandinavian press as the first naturist resort of its kind in the city, opened on 1 February 2015. It is a private, enclosed property where guests can be nude within the grounds, and it is one of a small group of naturist resorts that have opened in Thailand since the 2010s. The resort is aimed at couples and adult naturists rather than day visitors. Details of its layout, room types and facilities were not available in the sources we could open, and the operator's own site did not appear in the results, so this page is limited to what the press confirms.
Legal context & local rules
Thai law prohibits public nudity, but nudity on a private, enclosed naturist resort is not a public act. Resorts of this kind rely on that distinction; check current rules before travelling.
Nudism and naturism laws in this country vary by region and context. Some areas permit designated naturist activities, while others strictly prohibit public nudity. It is essential to research local laws before engaging in naturist activities.

View all in Thailand →Barefeet Heaven Hill Naturist Resort
Naturist resort in Trang province in southern Thailand, opened in December 2019 as part of the small group of commercial naturist resorts that have appeared in Thailand since the 2010s. As a naturist resort it offers a private setting where guests can be nude on the grounds, which matters in a country where public nudity is not culturally accepted and is prohibited by law. Current operating status could not be confirmed, so check directly with the resort before planning a stay.
Chan Resort Pattaya
Chan Resort is a small naturist resort in the Thappraya area of south Pattaya, opened in 2009 by a Danish owner who also helped found the Naturist Association Thailand. It is promoted as the first resort in Thailand to cater specifically for naturists, and it serves both Thai and foreign guests, most of them couples. Life centres on the pool and gardens, where guests are encouraged to be nude throughout their stay; first-timers can ask for towels. The resort is clear that it is not a swingers' venue: sexual activity and intimate touching in shared areas are banned and lead to eviction, photos need permission each time, and short-time sex workers are not allowed. Only one male guest may stay per room, unless same-sex couples or relatives can show proof of their relationship. Smoking is allowed outside rooms only. Recent reviews describe the owner running the place with a reduced staff.
Freedom Beach
Freedom Beach is a secluded cove on Phuket's west coast, on the headland between Patong and Karon, about 10 minutes by longtail boat south of Patong. Around 300 metres of soft white sand curve between rocky points and steep jungle-covered hillside, with clear, deep turquoise water and decent snorkelling at both ends. Because there is no road to the sand, it is quieter than Patong, though boat groups arrive by midday in the high season and a beach restaurant, sunbed rental, loud music and growing commercialisation are noted by many visitors. Its name and seclusion have given it a reputation in some naturist listings as a place where discreet nudity is occasionally tolerated, and reviewers say this has largely disappeared as the beach has become busier. It is not a nudist beach and nudity is not part of the local culture: most people wear swimwear, and Thai law prohibits public nudity, and even topless sunbathing is widely frowned upon. Visitors who value privacy should arrive before 10:00 and expect to stay clothed in practice.
Oriental Beach Village
Oriental Beach Village is a small, privately run naturist resort on Koh Kho Khao, a flat, quiet island just off Takua Pa in Phang Nga province, on the Andaman coast north of Khao Lak and Phuket. It describes itself as a clothing-optional naturist resort and is often cited as the only Thai naturist resort set directly on a beach, with access to the island's long, very quiet west-coast sands; nudity is limited to the resort's own grounds. Accommodation is in four types of unit: one- and two-bedroom suites and one- and two-bedroom villas, with air conditioning and some balconies. The centrepiece is a large swimming pool with sun terraces in a garden, and there is a restaurant and bar, 24-hour reception, wellness activities and, according to travel press, bicycles and kayaks for guests. Forum posts say it is run by a French owner, and its contact lines include a French-speaking number. The island has little traffic and few other visitors, so the resort suits guests looking for a peaceful stay rather than nightlife. The dry season from November to April is the usual time to visit the Andaman coast; the south-west monsoon brings rain and rough seas from May to October.

Peace Blue Naiharn
Peace Blue Naiharn Naturist Resort is a small, privately run naturist hotel in the Rawai area of southern Phuket, a few minutes' drive from Nai Harn and Rawai beaches. It opened in 2016 and is promoted as the first naturist-friendly resort on Phuket, set up by a Thai couple with hotel management backgrounds to serve the growing number of naturist travellers visiting the island. Aggregator listings give about ten rooms, ranging from superior king rooms to a two-bedroom family deluxe unit, with air conditioning, kitchenettes, fridges and TVs; one suite type has its own plunge pool. Shared facilities include an outdoor pool with a children's pool, a poolside bar, a sauna, a fitness room, a massage room and the on-site @Lemon Tree Cafe for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The resort is clothing optional: nudity is allowed around the pool and recreation areas, while clothes are expected at reception and in the restaurant. It also sells speedboat island trips and catamaran charters. A separate property nearby, Lemon Tree Naturist Phuket, has its own listings and rules, so do not confuse the two.
