Naturism in Tunisia

Tunisia operates a dual system: public nudity is technically prohibited under Penal Code public decency provisions, but tourist resort areas maintain de facto tolerance. European tourists have established unofficial nude beach culture at resort beaches in Hammamet, Sousse, and Djerba. Outside resort zones, conservative Islamic norms make nudity culturally and legally unacceptable.
