About Warrington Beach

Warrington Beach is a long sandy beach at the small settlement of Warrington, about 20 km north of Dunedin off SH1 near Waitati. FreeBeaches NZ points nude bathers to the stretch south of the Warrington Surf Life Saving Club, which it describes as naturist-friendly, towards Doctors Point Beach next door. The beach is backed by dunes and pine forest and is popular with families near the settlement, so walk south before undressing. Check tides if you continue around to Doctors Point.

This New Zealand naturist beach is a clothing-optional place in a traditionally tolerated setting. Families are welcome.

Legal context

Naturism at Warrington Beach sits under New Zealand's rules for traditional tolerance — custom more than statute.
