About Strandbad Niederuster FKK
This is a grassy lakeside meadow on the Greifensee at Niederuster, the lake shore district of Uster in the Zurich Oberland. It lies west of the Niederuster boat landing and the large Strandbad Uster, roughly half a kilometre along the shore towards the Niederuster wastewater treatment plant, and is not part of the paid Strandbad. The nacktbaden.de directory records that nude bathing has been permitted here since mid-1997; a 2017 visitor comment describes it as a pleasant, somewhat hidden FKK spot that is not fully official but well used. The area is a large lawn partly screened from the path by trees and bushes, with direct access to the lake. There are no toilets or other facilities on the meadow itself. Part of the high bank along this stretch of the Greifensee, once used for informal nude swimming, has since been fenced off as a nature-protection zone, so stay out of the protected reedbeds and use only the open meadow. How actively the spot is used today is not well documented; a later commenter asked whether nudity is still allowed and got no answer.
Getting there
The meadow is on the Greifensee shore at Niederuster, the lakeside part of Uster, reached by S-Bahn to Uster and then on foot or by local bus, or by Greifensee boat to the Niederuster landing (Schifflände). From the landing, follow the shore path westward past Strandbad Uster for about 500 m. The lakeside path is flat and part of the popular route round the lake for cyclists and inline skaters. There are no facilities on the meadow; the nearest are at Strandbad Uster.
