About Ratac Nudist Beach
Ratac is a pine-covered headland on the Montenegrin coast between Bar and Sutomore, beside the main coastal road, best known for the ruins of the medieval Benedictine abbey of Our Lady of Ratac. Below the pines on the headland lies a small nude beach, usually signed or listed as FKK Ratac, roughly 100 m of pebbles and flat rocks with clear, clean water. Pine forest comes almost to the shore and gives some shade, and the beach gets sun mainly in the afternoon, so mornings are cooler. Guides describe it as a long-established nudist spot used by a mixed crowd that includes families with young children and older visitors, but clothed bathers also turn up and some visitors complain about this. A separate 'Wild Beach' on the same headland is textile. Sutomore's busy town beach is a short drive north.
Getting there
Ratac lies off the Adriatic Highway between Bar and Sutomore; park in the informal parking area at the start of the forest path, then walk down through the pines to the beach. The last stretch is fairly steep and uneven, so wear proper shoes; it is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Visitors note that the path is often littered, although the beach itself is kept clean. Bring water, as services on the beach are minimal.
What visitors say
Visitors praise the setting, the pines and the very clear water, and many rate it among the prettiest small beaches on this stretch of coast. The most common complaints are a dirty, littered path from the car park and clothed people using the nudist area. Reviews of the neighbouring wild beach are more negative, with reports of rubbish and men loitering in the bushes, so expectations differ depending on which cove people visited.

Legal context
Ratac is widely listed as an FKK beach, but we found no official designation by the municipality of Bar or the national tourism organisation. Nudity is customary and tolerated on this cove; keep it to the FKK area and away from the textile beaches nearby.
Naturism at Ratac Nudist Beach sits under Montenegro's rules for traditional tolerance — custom more than statute.
