About Międzyzdroje-Lubiewo Naturist Beach
The naturist beach of Międzyzdroje lies on the Baltic shore of Wolin island, roughly 3 km west of Międzyzdroje's centre towards the village of Lubiewo, which belongs to the same municipality. It is one of the oldest nude beaches in Poland: in the 1970s and 1980s it hosted naturist events such as Miss and Mister contests and beach games. Those have long stopped, but naturists from around the country still come. The beach is a wide strip of fine, pale sand reached through dense coastal forest, which keeps it secluded from the busy resort promenade. Guides describe it as well kept and not crowded, and a sign reading 'Plaża Naturystów' marks the section west of the resort's guarded beach sectors. A coastal cycle path runs behind the shore, and cyclists on route apps call it the liveliest part of this stretch of coast. Families visit as well as couples and singles. There are no facilities on the nude section itself, so bring water and food.
Getting there
Walk or cycle about 3 km west from Międzyzdroje along the beach or the coastal cycle path towards Lubiewo; the naturist section is signposted at the beach. Driving into the forest is prohibited, and visitors report that a car park used for this beach was removed during construction of the S3 expressway, so parking nearby is limited; most people park in Międzyzdroje or Lubiewo and walk. Paths cross forest and soft sand, so the beach is not suitable for wheelchairs. Międzyzdroje has a railway station.
What visitors say
Visitors who rate the beach on Polish travel sites score it highly and describe a wide, clean, uncrowded sand beach with a calm atmosphere, popular with returning families. The most common complaint is parking: reviewers say the old car park disappeared with the S3 road works and that cars may not enter the forest, though some still find space nearby. Several ask which beach access path to use, since the section is not obvious from the resort; cycling there along the coast path is a popular solution.
